LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Dr. Sarah M. Dyer, a long-term resident of southern Illinois, currently sees children, adolescents, and adults at Hesed Comprehensive Psychological and Assessment Services in Swansea, Illinois. Dr. Dyer specializes in neuropsychological assessment across the lifespan, and she primarily approaches therapy from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, which has been found to be effective with a variety of psychological problems and disorders.
Dr. Dyer has clinical experience working with the following problems and diagnoses: ADHD, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, depression, low self-esteem, post-traumatic stress, OCD, relationship problems, coping with divorce, social difficulties, oppositional behavior, dementia, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, genetic disorders, and a variety of other medical/health concerns (i.e., multiple sclerosis, cancer, hydrocephalus).
Previously, Dr. Dyer gained experience in a variety of clinical settings, and she has also served as an adjunct professor at SIU Carbondale. She has presented her research at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital as well as a variety of national and international conventions.
